Núñez: “There is a squad to turn the situation around and we are very eager to get the win against Levante UD”
The Valencia CF defender, the guest on l’Informatiu on VCF Media Radio to talk about the team’s current situation and his debut as a Valencia CF player
The Valencia CF player, Unai Núñez, has been the guest on l’Informatiu on VCF Media Radio to talk about his debut with the team against Real Madrid CF and to analyse Valencia CF’s upcoming matches.
Match against Levante UD
"Very eager for the match to arrive so we can get the first three points with Valencia CF. Since I arrived here, I see the team very keen to win matches, we do everything possible and we give everything on the pitch. Sometimes things go better and other times worse, but we have the match against Levante in mind and we want to get the three points".
Sporting momentum
“There is a squad and players more than capable of turning the situation around. There is a lot of intensity in training, quality, many very good ideas from the coach. If we all continue on the same path, the wins will come.”
League Table
“Both (Valencia CF and Levante UD) are in a complicated situation and both want to turn the situation around. After the match we will see who ends up better, and I hope it is us, the ones who get the three points. I have been in LALIGA for quite a few years and I had never seen a competition so tight, there are eight teams involved in the fight. If you win two consecutive matches you can get out of there and you can even look higher up, but we have to focus on the next match and win it.”
Debut with Valencia CF
“I felt good and comfortable. I was coming from playing at Hellas Verona. I played in a similar position there, with some of the new ideas from the coach, but what I brought helped me to settle in quickly and well with the team and in the match. My teammates have made it easier for me to feel good from day one, and I am very comfortable.”
Supporters
“I had played against Valencia CF and I had always said it was one of the supporter bases that impressed me the most. Playing for Valencia CF is special, I appreciate the support they were able to give me in the first match. I have to keep working and staying in good shape.”
Julen Agirrezabala
“I coincided with him for two years and he is an amazing guy. He is a top goalkeeper and he has always shown it whenever he has played. When it came out that I might come here, he was the first one to message me and I told him that I hoped it would happen and that I could be with him. When everything was finalised, I saw him and told him things. It is an incredible help to enter a dressing room with people you already know.”
